      Hey Hunter,
Actually what the meaning behind the quote is that you have to go out of your comfort zone if you want to achieve something. Like you have to work harder, or risk more or sleep less. Like you can’t expect to achieve anything while doing nothing.

I actually keep a list of sayings that I’ve written over the years (and some that I just co-oped and adapted). A couple that guide my life are:

“Grant yourself 5 minutes to weep, moan and wail; then shut up and get on with it.”

“If you can’t stand on your own two feet, then you’ll just have to stay there on the floor.”

“If you don’t learn to laugh at Life, you’re just going to end up shooting somebody.”

If the hyper link on my name works, you can see the rest of the ones I’ve published so far (fair warning, contains foul language). I revisit it every so often to add new gems that occur to me.

I love this. One of my favorite quote is simply, “she believed she could, so she did.” 🙂

I love quotes just as much as I love affirmations. Both have the power to lift you higher

Great inspirations! The 2nd one touched me most: “Climb mountains not so the world can see you but so you can see the world”

The following one in regards to our thoughts have sticked with me deeply for the longest time: “Be careful what you wish for”

Thanks for those wonderful words of deep wisdom!

Such motivating sentences. I love collecting some nice quotes and emotive language in my mind so when I face a situation where I feel stuck or at a loss I have something to turn to. When I do push-ups I always remember the quote about “I only start counting when it starts hurting” (I cannot remember if it was from Muhammad Ali or Bruce lee :S)

For the same reason I like motivational videos.

The question isn’t who’s going to let me. The question is who’s going to stop me.
    – Howard Roarke, The Fountainhead

Life itself is a race, marked by a start, and a finish. It is what we learn during this race, and how we apply it, that determines whether our participation has had particular value. If we learn from each success, and each failure, and improve ourselves through this process, then in the end, we will have fulfilled our potential and performed well.
    – Professor Porsche

Most people think failure is the opposite of success, but it’s not. Failure is a required ingredient in the creation of success.

A lot of great wisdom here. I especially like the one about motivation being necessary daily, like bathing.
